Methyl salicylate exists in colorless oily liquid, with holly fragrance. It is slightly soluble in water but soluble in alcohol and ethyl ether etc. There are synthetical type and naturally extracted type. It is mainly used as fragrance with Anti-inflammatory function in cosmetic, food, medicine and beverages etc.
